ESPEN STOOL: MODERN AND TIMELESS
Streamlined design, refined joining of legs and seat: This is the Espen stool by designer Urs Tanner from Davos in Graubünden. Our team manufactured the prototypes and made serial production possible. Thanks to many years' experience in CNC milling technique and the latest technology.
The streamlined design of the Espen stool is impressive. Urs Tanner from Davos was inspired by Nordic design. The combination of colour and material is harmonious. The joins between the legs themselves as well as between the legs and the seat are refined and well thought out. The joins are handled without additional components. There is intentionally no surface finish. The result is an innovative artisanal product made of wood.
Profitability thanks to the latest technology
The idea was there, the plans were drawn. The stool, designed at the Higher Technical School for Technology and Design (HFTG) in Zug by Urs Tanner, now needed to be manufactured so as to guarantee profitability. Thanks to our broad knowledge of CNC MILLING AND PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY, we were able to mill each component in a single step. What is important for precise milling is a precise drawing including a 3D model. Urs Tanner provided both ahead of time. The good collaboration, the precise ideas of the designer and our many years’ experience made profitable serial production of the stool possible.
