for active environmental protection and for the sake of quality of life for future generations
Living our values. We produce energy rather than waste. All wood waste resulting from our solid wood production is used to supply over 250 residential units as well as various commercial enterprises in the Muotathal.
Environmental facts
We have our own district heating network of 7 km length.
- 3 boilers with a total output of 2.6 megawatts produce 4,520 MWh of heat. As an environmentally friendly and sustainable fuel, we use over 70% wood waste from our solid wood production.
- We hope to expand our heat deliveries to 400 to 600 MWh in the next 5 to 10 years through potential road renovations in relevant residential areas.
- Incidentally, if heating oil were used for the district heating supply to over 250 residential units, this would take approx. 335,000 litres, entailing CO2 emissions of almost 1,000 tonnes.
- To further protect the environment, we filter the flue gases with an electric filter. We professionally dispose of the remaining ash at a specialised landfill.
